Jamie T - Sticks and Stones
Jamie T's Indie fused Rude Boy rap song concentrates on the childlike actions of the "boys on the town" with the visual back drop of working class Britain.
The intro is very visual, with fast pace of the hi - hat lyric combo matching that of the running on the train station. This grimy, Shameless style of video is something I'd like to replicate especially given my own type of song.
There aren't many conventions to music video, and this tame by the marilyn manson shock vids of the nineties but if anything, this isnt something you'd see on VH1, more like watch dog, or a 10.30 documentary on Bravo.

I loved the simplicity to this, perfectly evokes the dystopia described in the song.

One of the greatest videos of all time. Released in 1988, completely pushed the boundaries of music video and shocked MTV. One of the first to do so.
